TILT is a small four-unit concept apartment located in Zakimi, Yomitan, Okinawa.
On the basement level is a space dedicated to photography and creative expression:
WORDVEL PHOTO PRODUCTION.
Above it, on the first and second floors, are residences where creativity and everyday living intersect —
this is TILT.
When perspective changes, life begins to align.
In photography, there is a technique called Tilt.
By slightly adjusting the angle of a lens, photographers can change the plane of focus or correct distortions in architecture.
With just a small shift in angle, the way we see the world can change dramatically.
TILT was born from this very idea.
In our daily lives—
work, relationships, and countless small events—
subtle distortions gradually build up within us.
But when you return home, something gently resets.
And the next morning, you begin again with a clearer mind.
Within TILT, there are small details designed to help realign the focus of everyday life.
Space for Living — and for Living Lightly
At TILT, we intentionally avoided installing large fixed storage spaces.
This design allows residents to shape the space according to their own lifestyle.
By arranging hanger racks, shelves, and furniture, each person can create their own storage and living environment.
In modern society, where convenience and efficiency are always emphasized, we often accumulate more belongings without realizing it.
Yet perhaps we do not need as many things as we think.
Rather than treating storage simply as a place to hide things away,
it can become a part of expressing your lifestyle.
What if you surrounded yourself only with what you truly need?
What if you lived with a little more openness and space?
That sense of intentional space is also part of the design philosophy behind TILT.
A Home Designed for Life with Dogs
TILT was designed with the idea of living comfortably with dogs.
Open the door, and right outside is a private dog run exclusively for residents.
The flooring runs flat from the entrance to the balcony, creating a seamless and practical living flow.
Balconies are slightly larger than those of typical apartments.
The living room is designed to feel open and comfortable for both people and dogs.
In the dog run, your dog can enjoy the kind of exercise that daily walks alone cannot provide.
A calm and comfortable life—
for dogs and for people.
That is the home TILT aims to create.
Quiet Living Made Possible by a Small Community
TILT consists of only four units.
Because of its small scale, we value three elements:

The bathroom ceiling height reaches 2250 mm, offering a sense of openness rarely found in apartment living.

Construction Update
Originally scheduled for completion in February 2026, construction has been delayed by approximately two months due to construction conditions and material supply.
The current expected completion date is March 16, 2026, with move-in planned for late March 2026.
As construction is still underway, completed photos are not yet available.
Professional photography will be added once the building is finished.
Viewing by Reservation
Because TILT consists of only four units, viewings are available by reservation only.
If you feel drawn to this place, we invite you to experience the space in person.
The atmosphere of TILT cannot be fully conveyed through photos or words.
TILT is not a home for everyone.
